You Are The Only One

You Are The Only One

Sam Smith's talent as excelled in greatness with the soft touch notes and the meaningful lyrics. The lyrics speak to you with what its really meant to be in love. The music video describes what love is these days. We see the emotions of love and greatness. Even tho love can do good and bad. Its not contributed to any harsh feelings that we call "Cheating". The way Smith brings this topic through the song is well done. The music video tells a story about a couple being married. Then the husband goes to the bar and gets drunk and has sexual desire with women. When the woman knows that but, doesn't, want to bring it up since he has money. Today, our society only cares for the money which is very sad. I hope one day our world will be so much better. Overall I would think I'm Not The Only One will be on my Pholl's playlist. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH

Black Widow? Come Again?

Iggy Azalea has dazzled USA with her first song "Fancy" that hit huge with me and USA as well. But, "Black Widow" isn't so great. Iggy can rap good but, can Iggy have a song just with herself? Two hits in a row. Fancy and now Black Widow. I really need to see Azalea have a song that its huge just by herself. Rita Ora? Who's she? For a second I thought she was Rihanna. I like the lyrics a little bit. But, black widow what does that mean again? The beat is very up beat and I love it. The beat changes which is fantastic! Now for the music video. I don't really know if the music video fits in with the song. The first two minutes of the music video is very confusing and I wasn't engaged. Which was a major loss. The music video was trying to tell a story but, it failed in the beginning. Then after the music starts the music video started making sense. How Iggy is a secret ninja and her sidekick is Rita Ora. The clan is called Black Widow. I should be able to recognize the title of the song means. I couldn't figure it out until the music video came out. They go on multiple missions in the music video. For example, how the both need to kill a man in a certain amount of time. Overall Black Widow hits points but, can improve. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Alexa S for being a great friend.

8.8/10 Great

+ Has a great beat to it

     + Lyrics are good

+ Iggy Azalea with Rita Ora

I'm Stronger Than I've Been Before

Ariana Grande makes a huge comeback with her new album "My Everything" that is expected to be released on August 25. The album includes "Break Free" and "Problem". She also now has a single with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J called "Bang Bang". With "Break Free" the song features Zedd which is very hard to connect to because, you can't even hear is part in the song due to how Ariana's voice is to high and covers up Zedds part. The song starts with a strong push that involves Zedds music that cues Grande to come in and start the song off well. Break Free has a great sense of vibe with Zedds spectacular up beat with it. I enjoy Break Free a lot. The lyrics are cleaver with Grande's high notes. She has something that can't be explained. The lyrics are not repetitive which is great. Now for the music video. The music video ties in greatly with the song. The music video has a star wars theme to it. I don't understand the first 20 seconds of the music video but, it I forgot about it when Ariana starting singing. The music video tells a story which is rare these days for artist to portray story lines into their music videos. I wasn't lost and I followed through greatly with the story. She escapes and rescues her friends then Ariana gets kidnapped by the enemy. Then she escapes and gets rescue by Zedd and go off to space. Overall Break Free rockets into space and scores big. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Lauren B, Addi T, and CeCe C

Can I Get A Remix In Here?

Finally Cedric Gervais has picked to do a remix with Miley Cyrus. As you know Adore You didn't do great with me or with anyone really. Not high views and the song was slow. If you want to see my full review for Adore You just scroll until you find it. Now for this song. Adore You with remix has a much better beat with lyrics that are still audible. Meaning the beat doesn't run over the lyrics causing it difficult to hear. The song isn't slow and boring. Now more up beat and not so boring. The one thing that disappoints me is Gervais didn't remix the whole song which disappoints me because, he did the whole song with Lana Del Rey with Summer Time Sadness. But, I can take a remix with Cyrus. This is her first remix and she proves that she can do remixes without failing greatly. Adore You featuring Cedric Gervais hits much higher than just Adore You. Overall I think Miley should collaborate more with DJs and maybe her songs will turn out better than expected. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Bailey for having a hilarious sister.

9.3/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

     + Miley Cyrus

+ Good collaboration with Cedric Gervais

+ The song has been updated to perfection

+ Adore You isn't so slow and boring anymore

Cons:

    - Part of the song isn't even in the remix

Im Ready! Ready For What?

AJR is another not popular band that some how got a little popular with this song. Im ready has a good tune to it but fails greatly with SpongeBob in the back round with the most annoys voice ever saying Im ready too many times. Im ready was on to something but it feels like they didn't want finish the song so they just put SpongeBob in the back to finish each verse. This song has some hope but there is no hope since the song is already released. The lyrics are okay but, again with SpongeBob in the back makes the lyrics feel repetitive in annoying. The music video ties in somewhat with the song but, I don't know. Overall Im ready wasn't all that ready. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Natalie again.

5.1/10 Mediocre

Pros:

+ Had some beat to it

     +  There was some lyrics

Cons:

     - SpongeBob doesn't need to be in any songs what so ever

     - Music video didn't make me want to watch it again and again

     - Song had something to it but, failed greatly

Let's Go Down To The Tennis Court

Lorde has been a huge success this past year. She has hit big with Royals. But, she hasn't done her best as of now. Tennis Court isn't the best in Lorde. The song is good but, the song seems its dragged causing the song to be slow and boring. The lyrics are catchy but, the occasionally the deep voice yeah makes the song awkward. Lorde scores well in her beautiful voice but, her yeah makes it not so yeah. Now for the music video. All of the song is just her staring. What is this, is this suppose to be a staring contest? I think I won if it was so. Like common are you serious? So I suppose to think a Tennis Court is a staring contest? Lorde looks stunning but, between Royals and Tennis court is a big difference. Overall Tennis Court strives to be good but misses greatly. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Megan A for being a great friend.

6.3/10 Okay

Pros:

      + Lorde

+ Lyrics are on to something

Cons:

      - Music video isn't the best

      - The song is too slow

      - Beat is boring

Stay With Me

Sam Smith is an artist that I love. I love some artist only have like 350K scribers and get on iTunes charts. Smith shows that anyone can do what ever they want to do. Stay With Me has a good meaning. The song talks about just staying with me meaning not to leave and not to cheat on anyone. The beat has a good tune to it. Also the lyrics are smooth and peaceful. Now for the music video. The music video to be honest is boring. Theres not much going on and that makes me not want to engage in something that isn't fun. Its disappointing for Smith with such a fabulous song and brings a awful music video. Doesn't help with Smith at all. Overall Stay With Me hits hard and then falls short. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Natalie and Annie for being the best friends that there could be.

9.4/10 Amazing

Pros:

      + Sam Smith

+ Lyrics are clean and peaceful

      + The beat changes greatly

Cons:

      - Music video is boring

Yes There's No Place I Rather Be

Whose this Clean Bandit? Where did they come from? How did they get on top 5 charts? Well this song can explain it. How incredible this song is. Rather Be is clean and fit to perfection. It has a great beat and lyrics score big points. The lyrics are repetitive and the lyrics bring meaning as well. The music video has this Chinese theme to it. I can see how the music video can tie with the song but the music video could have been different in my view. The song is called Rather Be meaning there should be at least a couple like in All Of Me's music video. But, that doesn't mean I don't like the music video its still brilliant. I have no cons at all with Rather Be. Overall Rather Be hits big points for me. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Natalie L and Annie T for being great friends.

10/10 Masterpiece Editors' Choice

Pros:

       + Jess Glynne

       + Lyrics are spot on

       + Beat is just amazing

       + Music video is good

       + The song feels peaceful

Cons:

Yes Ke$ha You Are The Crazy Ones

Oh Kesha were to begin? Kesha has a great beat and rhythm but fails to rap. Is this even rap or just trying to rap? We see Cyrus raping much better than Kesha. Kesha has good beat and the whistle brings a good rhythm to the song. Then we see will.i.am but, does he really need to be in the song? Is Kesha just good enough that she needs a featured artist? The lyrics are good. The music video ties in beautiful with the song. They act crazy as they can. Kesha looks awesome with tons of make up on. Which we call cake face in my town. The only thing that can be approved is rap isn't her thing. Kesha just stick to singing no raping needed. Overall Crazy Kids hits a huge mile stone for Kesha. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Hannah R, Eva, and Megan A for being a great group of friends to me.

9.2/10 Amazing

Pros:

      + Ke$ha

      + The beat is good

      + Music video is awesome

      + Lyrics aren't too bad

Cons:

      - Will.i.am needs to go

      - Ke$ha can't rap sadly

Why Are You My Remedy?

To start things off I love Foxes. She is amazing. I love this collaboration. Zedd featuring Foxes is a good group. The lyrics are never repetitive. The lyrics have a good meaning as well. The beat is always changing and makes the song work. The only bad thing that shouldn't have been done is off course the verses all sound to the same. If that makes sense to you. If not well sorry then. I love the music video. The music video is very original. But, it lacks meaning. The music video ties in somewhat with the song. Clarity hits huge with beat and lyrics but fails to find a good meaning with the music video. Foxes looks stunning and has a great role in the music video. If only the music video didn't drag the point value down this song would get a big 10 from me. Overall Clarity goes in depth but too much can drag the point value down greatly. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Lauren B for being my bae forever.

9.5/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

      + Good collaboration

Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour on NBC: Barcelona, Spain

Oh Golly Miss Miley! Wow, what a show she had performed in Barcelona, Spain. Cyrus showed what she could do. The beginning when she comes out of the tongue slide. I liked that. It was very cool and fun to watch. She had her chicken feather jacket on in the beginning. She knew what she was doing and she had control of the crowd. Then before commercials would come on Miley would have a video explaining something about her self. I also enjoyed watching that as well. Then she contented her show with songs that I enjoyed such like Do My Thang to Adore You. She performed well. Overall Cyrus show was a huge success. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shoutout to Chloe B for being a funny and nice friend.

Hey Brother

I think that is song is the most appropriate for this holiday. Hey Brother represents giving back to our troops in what they do for our country. It ties in great for this holiday. We need to make sure we know how important our troops do for us. Sorry for this late post also. Been busy with things and I'm on vacation. I am posting 30 reviews in the next week. I really do like doing this but, things pop up and get in the way of blogging to my fans/viewers. Hey Brother is a classic on beat. The beat is brilliant and so as are the lyrics as well. But, the major down fall in Hey Brother is the lyrics are repetitive. Big loss for Avicii. The bright side of Hey Brother is the music video. The music video ties in great with the song. It has a good theme with the song. Overall Hey Brother is great but, can do better with the lyrics. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Ella S for being my bae for life.

Because Im Happy

Pharrell Williams where have I heard that name from? Oh, I know Happy! And isn't he going to be a judge on The Voice this fall? The guy with the large hat. Yeah I know him. Happy first started in the movie Despicable Me 2. Then as the movie got more popular so has the song. Happy hits big with jaw dropping lyrics. Every time I listen to this song (even tho its on ever radio station 6 times in a row) makes me happy and makes me want to dance. This song puts me in a great mood and that's why Happy hits big points with the lyrics and beat. The beat is up beat and its great to sing a long to. The lyrics can be very repetitive and Happy can get very annoying very fast. Now for the music video. First of all the wardrobe is casual and there's one of Pharrell's hats. The music video ties in great with the song. Everybody is dancing and just being themselves. They all look happy and that's what the song is all about. Overall Happy is great but, the lyrics can be overused a lot. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Meredith R. for being a nice friend. Also Summer School is finally over! So that means I have more time to do reviews. So, stay tuned for more reviews soon.

9.4/10 Amazing

Pros:

+ The song has a good vibe to it

+ The beat is fun and up lifting

      + Music video is great

+ Lyrics can be also good

Cons:

      - Lyrics can get very repetitive and annoying fast

23 Go Miley Go!

What a song. This song is surprisingly well thought out. I love Cyrus of course. And Juicy J and Khalifa, are great. I haven't heard of Mike WiLL Made-It before. But, he isn't so bad. This song grows on me and the song has a good beat to it. The lyrics are well written. I like tune to the song as well. Cyrus scores big points with 23. She looks stunning. Her part in the song connects great with the song. Juicy J and Wiz are good as well. Now for the music video. The music video is great. The wardrobe is amazing. Cyrus is actually wearing decent clothes this time. I hope she will continue to wear clothes in her future music videos. The music video ties in great with the song. Overall 23 is a good song. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Ryan S for being a cool dude.

I Got That SummerTime Sadness

Lana Del Ray hits her songs with flying colors. She is perfection. She is pretty and has great capability to perform fantastic songs. Her songs make me feel better about myself just like Miley Cyrus of course. Ray hits notes that not a lot of artist can hit. This remix is perfect. The lyrics are awesome and so is the beat as well. The beat always changes and so does the lyrics as well. Now for the music video. The music video is flawless. The wardrobe is awesome as well. I can't say anything bad about this song nor music video as as well. Sorry for not posting reviews summer school is very busy getting those extra gpa points. I will start to post two music videos a day. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Madison and Grace. You guys rock.

Stay The Night

Wow, just wow. This song is brilliant when it comes to Zedd. Zedd shows what he is made of. He continues to strive to have great music. And I'm excited to see what is next for him. I love how Hayley Williams contributes to the song. I felt very happy to hear Williams proves how much talent she brings. The lyrics in the song are strong and great. The beat is peaceful but, has a good hit to it that makes the song work. Now for the music video. The music video starts off with of course Hayley. She is stunning. After the intro two teenagers are visible. The girl is red and the guy is blue. What I think the message of the song is that are you going to stay the night. The music video is well done. I love the lightbulbs in the background also. Overall Zedd can really write music. Does he even have to try anymore? For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Natalie B. She is awesome and a great friend.

Turn Down For What? Yeah Turn Down The Volume Please

Oh dear God what is this song even about? The song shows many errors that its hard to explain. The song has a bad start and a bad ending. DJ Snake and Lil Jon who ever they are. This song is not well. I complete dislike the song. The beat is off by a ton. Tvhe lyrics, music video, and the whole sexual activity is completly disturbing and I wasted 3 minutes and 36 seconds of my life. I don't recommend watching the music video. It involves way too much content of humping. Just please. Miley Cyrus shows show to be clean but, be dirty.  Snake and Jon don't. Now for the music video. The music video stars of with a guy looking much shoo ken up and starts humping and doing weird things. The music video is just terrible. Overall the song is absolutely unbearable and the song goes down for the worst review in history. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Daniel K for being a cool dude.

1.0/10 Unbearable

Cons:

      - What the heck did I just watch?!

      - This isn't even a song

      - Beat is terrible

      - Music video is way to sexual

      - Turn Down For What? Turn Down For Nothing

And I Give You All Of Me

Wow, talk about amazing. John Legend has a great voice and can grasp a clean sweep. His music is so romantic and the song has a good feel to it. The piano is clean and soft. The lyrics are amazing and the beat changes constantly causing me to keep listening to the song over and over again. I really enjoy listening to All Of Me because, the song is kinda of inspirational. Meaning, the song just feels like it gives you confidence in life. All Of Me shows the Legend can have a good handle on song writing. Now for the music video. As I was watching the music video I was surprised to see the whole music video just be in black and white. It made the music video romantic. The music video also features Legends wife. They both show how truly they are in love. The music video ties in perfect with the song. I loved how place to place Legend sings to his wife. From the pool to the kitchen table. I was very pleased overall with the music video and the song as well. Overall John Legend scores big with All Of Me. For all things music videos keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout to Carson S for loving my blog.

Wild Wild Love Alright We Get It Already

Oh Pitbull. I don't know how to start this off. Lets just say your song is good. But, in reality its not. This song could been great without Pitbull. Sadly this song lacks multiple things. The first thing is of course Pitbull. Doesn't seem I enjoyed it with Pitbull. Pitbull had a great run with Timber but now he is pushing it. I still have to review the MMM Yeah featuring Austin Mahone. Cant wait to  review that song... not... I like Pitbull but, this song makes me not so much like him. The song featuring G.R.L. has a great video of confidence but lacks what is great to me rapping. Rapping is hard but, Pitbull knows how to and I can say that this song inst going to go great. Now for the music video. As I watched the music video the G.R.L. girls have outfits that dont make me want to see it. The outfits or not the brightest and I know the music video ties in with the song but, do we have to look at girls with tails. Just not a fan of that. Overall Pitbull can have a good song if he wanted to. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Juice. Juice is a great friend and a funny friend as well.

7.5/10 Good

Pros:

      + G.R.L

      + Catchy song to it

Cons:

      - Music video looks too sexy

      - Why is there talking in a music video?!

      - Pitbull not a great song dawg

Im So Fancy

Iggy Azalea makes a great first impression with me. She proves her strong points and also her weak points. I really enjoy listening to her music. But, that doesn't mean that there are so major slip ups for her. I was very disappointed that some lyrics are very repetitive but, not all the lyrics are repetitive. I don't like when artist cannot think of any else to sing about so they just repeat the lyrics over and over. Didn't we learn that the hard way with Harris? The bass in the back round gets major points. But, the beat doesn't change. Major lost for Fancy. But, in general Iggy makes the song work. Charli XCX also has a featured part in the song and her lyrics are repetitive making the song lose points. If I was Iggy I wouldn't have put Charli XCX because, I don't think she is a valuable part in the song. Now for the music video. When I watched the music video for the first time I fell in love. The music video ties in perfect with the song. In the beginning of the song we see Iggy expressing her self with clothes. Then she is running for the best rapper in the school. She wins for sure. The clothes are beautiful. The music video is like high school. But, Iggy and Charli XCX don't look like high schoolers which makes the music video confusing but, fun in a way. Overall Fancy is great but, then again it needs work. For all things music videos keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Bai for being a great friend and she is super pretty and funny.

9.4/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

      + Iggy Azalea

+ Bass that plays the whole time

      + Music video is good

      + Charli XCX

Cons:

       - Lyrics can be repetitive with Charli XCX

There's Just One Problem

Ariana Grande comes back with a huge bang. The song has a great saxophone and the instruments are incredible. I love Iggy. She has a great part in the song. Iggy makes the song work. Ariana and Iggy are a great pair together. The song has fantastic lyrics. The beat changes causing me to like the song every time I listen to it. Now for the music video. The reason why I reviewed this song so late is because the music video just came out less than a week ago. So, I had to wait until the music video came out to review Problem. The music video disappoints me. I don't really understand the music video. The music video doesn't tie in great with the song. Overall all Problem is a great song. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Meredith R. Meredith is funny and has a great heart. She is nice and smart.

9.8/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

     + Ariana is great

     + Iggy Azalea

     + Lyrics are catchy

     + Beat is great

Cons:

     - Music video is confusing

Oh Lord Chandeliers Are Falling

Chandeliers has a good start. But Sia has completely failed to finish the song well enough. The song is very pitchy and no well thought out. Sia is trying to get a good song in but every time she tries she bombs greatly. I don't like the song. Every time I do a review I listen to the song again while reviewing. I can't even listen to it again due to how awful the song is. The One Two Three One Two Three lyrics are great. But then the song gets out of control causing me to dislike the song. That was a major disappointment. But, on the good note the music video is great. I like the little girl dancing. But, the song does not tie in great with the song. The girl looks out of control and but, she has great dance skills. Overall the song could have been great but. Sia chosen not to. Sia word of advice don't write music just don't. Thank you. For all thing music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Carter R. He is a beast and he is cool.

4.1/10  Bad

Pros:

     + Music video is impressive

Cons:

     - Song is way pitchy

     - The beat is off

     - Lyrics are awful

     - No true meaning of the song

     - Sia just don't write songs please

At Least Its Bulletproof

Bulletproof yeah well yeah. Oh the things La Roux can do. The song is up beat and fun to listen to. I like lyrics. They are catchy. The music throws the song off its course. The music is really poor. The makeup and wardrobe bombs it. I like Roux but she needs to improve on her songs. I like the song a lot. Its Going Down, Im Yelling Timber!

Pitbull and Ke$ha make a great team. They have a strong bond making music feel powerful. The song Timber hits greatly with lyrics. The lyrics are impressive causing me to want to keep listening to the song. Timber hits great with beat. The beat changes sometimes. I really enjoy the instruments . I love the harmonica in the beginning and the harmonica makes the song Timber feel like a western song. I enjoy each part of the song. Now for the music video. The music video ties in great with the song. Ke$ha is gorgeous in the music video. The music video is in this western place and music video is gorgeous. Pitbull and Ke$ha are on the beach and the beach is beautiful. I like the wardrobe as well. Overall Timber is a great song. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. Shout out to everyone because its a three day weekend!

What's There Not To Love?

I heard this song in my Spanish class. I was getting to putting it on the list and reviewing. I am going to review it. There are just some co. I have nothing to critic on the song. But just one thing. The beginning could be a little better that's it. The very beginning of the song is not well played. The instruments sounded cluster making it unbearable to listen to. But, then when the song went on I enjoyed listening ever. The instruments are so clean and soo peaceful causing me to listen to the song over and over. Piano Guys have re worked the song to a fantastic piece of music. The song its self is incredible. I love the song Titanium and I love the way Piano Guys made it work. Now for the music video. The music video is very well thought out. The different areas outdoors are very colorful and pretty. The music video ties in perfection with the song. The song feels like nature and the Piano Guys did a great job. Overall the song scores great. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Bethany V. We have the best conversations lol.

I Live For The Applause, Applause, Applause

Oh GaGa the things you do. Applause makes a big comeback with this single. The song has a great message. The message of course is GaGa lives for the Applause. Doesn't everyone? We know GaGa is back but, that makes the songs even harder to listen to due to her being gone for a while. The lyrics are well written making the beat tie a long great. GaGa shows what she can do. Applause makes the Album make sense. GaGa makes a fantastic way of showing what she is capable of. The beat in the song as a good tune to it. The drums have a good beat making the song more up beat. I like songs that have a little up beat to it. Now for the music video. The music video is a great. The wardrobe is fantastic. The music video its self is incredible. GaGa is back for sure. Overall I applause to Applause greatly. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. And a shout out to Curtis S, Josh C, Daniel K, and Joseph H for having the best Spanish presentation.

Paul Goes to Mexico

Must watch. Im featured in it. Enjoy!

G.U.Y Clever Word Play GaGa...

GaGa was a huge hit in 2008. She strives to perform greatly with her ArtPop album. As I begin to listen to each song the songs are amazing. But, G.U.Y isn't a well done song. The song lacks. Not only the music video is okay but, the lyrics are not written well. The lyrics are all about guys which the music video ties in greatly with the song. The song has a Greek theme to it making it fun to listen and watch as well. I like different parts in the music video. It makes the music video great. G.U.Y has a good beat to it. But, the beat doesn't change that much causing me to dislike the song. The wardrobe is good. GaGa's hair is too long. But, its a trend right? The song title G.U.Y is a weird title what does it even stand for? Overall G.U.Y stands great but, its flimsy in some parts. For  all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. And shout out  Maddy T for watching TV in class. (Shes watching American Horror Story). Push through Maddy! Also Maddy you are super smart and pretty. You have a great sense of humor.

8.9/10 Great

Pros:

     + GaGa's back

+ Music video has a good theme to it

     + Lyrics are okay

     + Wardrobe is fantastic

Cons:

    - Beat doesn't change that much

    - Lyrics are repetitive sometimes

\When You Say You Need Me Know I Need You More

This is the last Miley review for a while everyone. Miley Cyrus as exseated my expectations. Her songs have scored high numbers. But, this song not so much. Cyrus was growing with songs and has crumbled with this song. There's no real message nor meaning to the song. Just a boring song. But, I like some lyrics in the song. "When You Say You Love Me Know I Love You More, And When You Say You Need Me Know I Need You More". This song loses major points for no depth to it. The violins get good points but the beat is just the same the whole time. Which makes it boring. Now for the music video. The music video strives for greatness but doesn't hit the mark. It actually lowers the points even more with a stupid music video involving Cyrus practically recording with a hand camera. At least she is wearing clothes. I do admire Miley for trying to make a good music video but, she fails greatly. We Can't Stop was a great music video. Miley is failing each music video now. There's no point of Miley to be in a bed with sheets when she is talking about guys. Pointless to the song. I am really disappointed in Miley. When Cyrus is in the bathtub she wears clothes but when she isn't taking a bath she isn't wearing clothes. Major lost for her. Overall this song is good but not good enough. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. And a birthday shout out to Meredith R, Maddie C, and Kate K, hope you guys have a great birthday!

7.9/10 Good

Pros:

      + Lyrics are amazing

      + Violins are key

+ At least Cyrus is wearing clothes this time

Cons:

      - Song is too slow

      - Music video isn't working out

      - The beat doesn't change

I Came In Like A Wrecking Ball

Miley Cyrus is one of the best role models I know. And you know why? Because of this song. This song is the best song I have listened for a while. We see the emotions in the lyrics as well as in the music video. I give major points to Miley for standing up for herself as people hate her. I applaud Miley for not caring about what others say. The lyrics are heart felt and with clean streaks of wrecking ball make the song work. Cyrus as a good tune to music when it comes to the heart felt songs like Wrecking Ball. Miley makes the song work with her beauty and talent. Now for the music video. The music video ties and great with the song. What I don't like is again wardrobe. No clothes makes it weird to watch Miley swing from a wrecking ball without any clothes on. It felt uncomfortable to watch it. I really enjoy Cyrus showing motion on her face. Making it look like she cares about those and even tho she puts up with shit she is willing to give in. Overall I think Miley Cryus is making great music and even tho she does drugs and drinks she knows that its wrong at least. We all make mistakes even its drinking or doing drugs. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. And A HUGE shout out to one of the strongest girls I know. Bethany Vore. Stay strong!

9.7/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

     + Lyrics are inspiring

     + Music video is great

     + Cryus showing emotion

+ Piano has a good tune to it

Cons:

     - Wardrobe is a mess

     - Miley put some clothes on please

Forget The Haters Because Somebody Loves Ya

As we know miss Miley has transformed from Hannah Montana to her own self now. I really admire Cyrus being her self. In this world not a lot of people be themselves they just follow the crowd. But Cyrus doesn't she proves to the world she doesn't care what others say about her. Same for me. As I listened to this song for the first time I really enjoyed it. The lyrics are catchy and the instruments are fabulous. Wardrobe is poor but, its not like we are keeping score right? The music video is very party like which is a cool way to watch. I love how Miley can twerk, not. Twerking isn't for Miley. That let me down to see Miley not be able to twerk. Twerking comes from the hips not just bending over. Overall Miley Cyrus can make music but, doesnt after to practically be nude in every single music video. Also cannot wait to watch Miley perfrom tonight at the Billboard's! Miley is nominated 9 times. Win all of them Miley! For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Ella S. for being one of nicest friends and can always cheer me up.

9.5/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

Pros:

      + Cyrus being herself

         +  Instruments are perfect

         +  Impressive Lyrics

      + Amazing music video

Cons:

       - Miley cannot Twerk

       - Wardrobe is a disaster

Magical Frozen Wonderland

As we all know Frozen is the Number 1 best movie. It made over a billion dollars and the soundtrack was very successful as well. Let It Go proves how well Disney is. The movie is fantastic and so is the soundtrack. Let It Go is still in the top 5 charts and the song was released in November. That's ho well the song is. The song is very well thought out. The artist which is Idina Menzel. Menzel brings it to the table with her soft stable notes. I wouldn't be surprised if Frozen is turned into a Broadway production. Now the music video. There's no music video because, Disney just put the scene where Elsa is singing Let It Go. The scene is perfection. We see Elsa turning into what she has been hiding all her life. The castle brings excellent color and beauty. We see Elsa also telling us what she can do. Overall Let It Go is one of the best songs yet! For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Tommy W. for losing in volleyball today.

10/10 Masterpiece Editors' Choice

Pros:

      + Lyrics are amazing

      + Frozen

      + Piano is incredible

      + Music video is wonderful

      + Elsa (Idina Menzel)

It's Not Even Summer Why Is the DJ keep on playing Summer Time Sadness?

As we know Calvin Harris has blown through the charts. He went from nothing to the most famous DJs. But, Harris lacks one thing. Lyrics. He fails to write his own lyrics. Nothing yet to I Need Your Love featuring Ellie Goulding. The lyrics in the song Summer is repetitive making it less fun to listen to. I wanted more out of the song but, I couldn't find anything to make the song good. That made me dislike the song even more. But, the more times I listened to the song the better it got. For some reason the song has grown on me making the song still bad but not as bad as the first time I have listened to Summer. Now the music video. The music video strives to have good qualities but it doesn't. The good side the music video goes with the song. The music video has a great focus on what Summer is really about. Girls, pool parties, alcohol, and road racing. The song Summer came out too early causing it not fit in with season. Overall the song is good but not good enough. The violins in the beginning get major points because, of how well clean they are. I liked the beginning the most. For more music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH. Shout out to Cole C for being a nice and cool friend.

6.3/10 Okay

     + Violins in the beginning

     + Strong music video

Cons:

     - Song out of season

     - Repetitive lyrics

     - Awkward bass towards the end of the song

So Do You Wanna Play With Magic?

As we all know Katy Perry as gone from Candy Girl to Sexy Girl. The song "Dark Horse" doesn't feel like it should be with the album which is call Prism. The song also features Juicy J which doesn't make the song feel so bright. I was dissapointed to see the music video. I was looking for something other than a Egypt theme to it. The music video wasn't good even. It didn't show what Katy could bring. Her last song "Unconditionally" made it work. Not so much for this song. Again we see Katy bringing the "bright" side of her which makes it difficult to see how Juicy J is "bright". The good side of this song is the way it goes. That bass in the back round has a good beat to it. But, Juicy J ruins the part of Katy. Makes it seem like Katy isn't going down the right path. That makes me worry. But, I like Juicy J's part in the song. It made good sense to hear what he has to offer to the song. Katy isn't a artist that would go with rap. That's just my opinion. Katy Perry is one of my favorite artist but she lacks what she knows best, Music Videos. For more music videos stay on Music Reviews. PH And Shout out to Adam K for being a cool dude. And being my #1 fan as well.

8.8/10 Great

Pros:

  + Katy Perry

  + The Bass

  + Juicy J

Cons:

- Music video is poor

- Not such a "bright" song
