Black Widow? Come Again?

Iggy Azalea has dazzled USA with her first song "Fancy" that hit huge with me and USA as well. But, "Black Widow" isn't so great. Iggy can rap good but, can Iggy have a song just with herself? Two hits in a row. Fancy and now Black Widow. I really need to see Azalea have a song that its huge just by herself. Rita Ora? Who's she? For a second I thought she was Rihanna. I like the lyrics a little bit. But, black widow what does that mean again? The beat is very up beat and I love it. The beat changes which is fantastic! Now for the music video. I don't really know if the music video fits in with the song. The first two minutes of the music video is very confusing and I wasn't engaged. Which was a major loss. The music video was trying to tell a story but, it failed in the beginning. Then after the music starts the music video started making sense. How Iggy is a secret ninja and her sidekick is Rita Ora. The clan is called Black Widow. I should be able to recognize the title of the song means. I couldn't figure it out until the music video came out. They go on multiple missions in the music video. For example, how the both need to kill a man in a certain amount of time. Overall Black Widow hits points but, can improve. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Alexa S for being a great friend.

I'm Stronger Than I've Been Before

Ariana Grande makes a huge comeback with her new album "My Everything" that is expected to be released on August 25. The album includes "Break Free" and "Problem". She also now has a single with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J called "Bang Bang". With "Break Free" the song features Zedd which is very hard to connect to because, you can't even hear is part in the song due to how Ariana's voice is to high and covers up Zedds part. The song starts with a strong push that involves Zedds music that cues Grande to come in and start the song off well. Break Free has a great sense of vibe with Zedds spectacular up beat with it. I enjoy Break Free a lot. The lyrics are cleaver with Grande's high notes. She has something that can't be explained. The lyrics are not repetitive which is great. Now for the music video. The music video ties in greatly with the song. The music video has a star wars theme to it. I don't understand the first 20 seconds of the music video but, it I forgot about it when Ariana starting singing. The music video tells a story which is rare these days for artist to portray story lines into their music videos. I wasn't lost and I followed through greatly with the story. She escapes and rescues her friends then Ariana gets kidnapped by the enemy. Then she escapes and gets rescue by Zedd and go off to space. Overall Break Free rockets into space and scores big. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Lauren B, Addi T, and CeCe C

Can I Get A Remix In Here?

Finally Cedric Gervais has picked to do a remix with Miley Cyrus. As you know Adore You didn't do great with me or with anyone really. Not high views and the song was slow. If you want to see my full review for Adore You just scroll until you find it. Now for this song. Adore You with remix has a much better beat with lyrics that are still audible. Meaning the beat doesn't run over the lyrics causing it difficult to hear. The song isn't slow and boring. Now more up beat and not so boring. The one thing that disappoints me is Gervais didn't remix the whole song which disappoints me because, he did the whole song with Lana Del Rey with Summer Time Sadness. But, I can take a remix with Cyrus. This is her first remix and she proves that she can do remixes without failing greatly. Adore You featuring Cedric Gervais hits much higher than just Adore You. Overall I think Miley should collaborate more with DJs and maybe her songs will turn out better than expected. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Bailey for having a hilarious sister.

9.3/10 Amazing Editors' Choice

+ Good collaboration with Cedric Gervais

+ The song has been updated to perfection

+ Adore You isn't so slow and boring anymore

Cons:

    - Part of the song isn't even in the remix

Im Ready! Ready For What?

AJR is another not popular band that some how got a little popular with this song. Im ready has a good tune to it but fails greatly with SpongeBob in the back round with the most annoys voice ever saying Im ready too many times. Im ready was on to something but it feels like they didn't want finish the song so they just put SpongeBob in the back to finish each verse. This song has some hope but there is no hope since the song is already released. The lyrics are okay but, again with SpongeBob in the back makes the lyrics feel repetitive in annoying. The music video ties in somewhat with the song but, I don't know. Overall Im ready wasn't all that ready. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shout out to Natalie again.

     - Song had something to it but, failed greatly

Let's Go Down To The Tennis Court

Lorde has been a huge success this past year. She has hit big with Royals. But, she hasn't done her best as of now. Tennis Court isn't the best in Lorde. The song is good but, the song seems its dragged causing the song to be slow and boring. The lyrics are catchy but, the occasionally the deep voice yeah makes the song awkward. Lorde scores well in her beautiful voice but, her yeah makes it not so yeah. Now for the music video. All of the song is just her staring. What is this, is this suppose to be a staring contest? I think I won if it was so. Like common are you serious? So I suppose to think a Tennis Court is a staring contest? Lorde looks stunning but, between Royals and Tennis court is a big difference. Overall Tennis Court strives to be good but misses greatly. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Megan A for being a great friend.

Stay With Me

Sam Smith is an artist that I love. I love some artist only have like 350K scribers and get on iTunes charts. Smith shows that anyone can do what ever they want to do. Stay With Me has a good meaning. The song talks about just staying with me meaning not to leave and not to cheat on anyone. The beat has a good tune to it. Also the lyrics are smooth and peaceful. Now for the music video. The music video to be honest is boring. Theres not much going on and that makes me not want to engage in something that isn't fun. Its disappointing for Smith with such a fabulous song and brings a awful music video. Doesn't help with Smith at all. Overall Stay With Me hits hard and then falls short. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Natalie and Annie for being the best friends that there could be.

9.4/10 Amazing

      + Sam Smith

+ Lyrics are clean and peaceful

Yes There's No Place I Rather Be

Whose this Clean Bandit? Where did they come from? How did they get on top 5 charts? Well this song can explain it. How incredible this song is. Rather Be is clean and fit to perfection. It has a great beat and lyrics score big points. The lyrics are repetitive and the lyrics bring meaning as well. The music video has this Chinese theme to it. I can see how the music video can tie with the song but the music video could have been different in my view. The song is called Rather Be meaning there should be at least a couple like in All Of Me's music video. But, that doesn't mean I don't like the music video its still brilliant. I have no cons at all with Rather Be. Overall Rather Be hits big points for me. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Natalie L and Annie T for being great friends.
