I didn't have that Bieber Fever

On June 22, 2016 I went to my very first huge concert performed by Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' tour. It was amazing to see such a great amount of volume and how great the performance was. The setting was stunning and each step he took was well fitted. However, the lip sync and the messing up of the words 'Love Yourself' was such a disappointment and Justin took no chances to perform it live.  Justin performed his old hit songs such like 'Baby' and 'Boyfriend'. That really was the highlight of the concert it was incredible to see Justin perform those songs live. Overall, I had a blast with seeing my first concert, but I wish it was actually live.

5.5/10 Mediocre

Pros:
+ Staging was gorgeous
+ Throw back songs

Cons:
- Lip Singing
- Messing up lyrics

What didn't I Come For?

This is Rihannas third single with Calvin Harris. They have such a good bond when it comes to producing music and I really enjoyed hearing them collaborate again to make this incredible song. The lyrics are just amazing, but Rihanna doesn't sound like herself which is not of the dance side maybe its auto tuned who nows. The music video is too similar to 'Hotline Bling' by Drake. I didn't see that much of art in the music video than I expected which lacks great impressions. Overall, the song is well done just lacks art in a way.

8.4/10 Great

Pros:
+ Strong Collab
+ Catchy and well fitted

Cons:
- Music video too similar
- Doesn't sound like the Rihanna we know

Will Never Forget This Song

Zara Larsson is growing rapidly in her music career and she's flourished with one of the best hit of the summer 'Never Forget You' featuring MNEK both artists are fairly new which brings a good side to new artist forming in the music industry. 'Never Forget You' brings a new electronic vibe by showing alternative music with dance music. The song has a powerful structure that shows greatness in it.  The beats and the different beats being dropped as a excellent way of making the song work. The music video has a breath taking view of the parts of Iceland. The music video reminds me of "Where The Wild Things Are" which brings a great sense of pleasure a long the way. Overall, I enjoy Zara Larsson a lot and will be ready to hear more of her music!

10/10 Masterpiece Editors' Choice

Pros:
+ New artists
+ Breathtaking/ heartwarming music video
+ New music genre
+ The beats are magical

Cons:

Confidence is Key in Life

When it comes to Meghan Tranior I had a great sense that she was going to be just a one and done person since most people are, but I was wrong. Her sophomore album 'Thank You' was a hit and a miss. She brought a sense of less pride in ladies than her Freshman album 'Title' She improved greatly and the song 'Me Too' hits a good spot in my brain with the confident lyrics and the catchy beats that make it so pleasing to the ears. The song may not have a whole 3:30 vibe to it, but it covers the majority of the song well. The music video makes me feel even better about myself she isn't caring at all about what people are saying to her which makes it feel excellent for watching. Overall, Meghan is back with the brown hair and the go to attitude.

9.4/10 Amazing

Pros:
+ Shes back!
+ Lyrics are pleasing
+ Music video is rather nice to see

Cons:

- Length

You Are The Only One

You Are The Only One

Sam Smith's talent as excelled in greatness with the soft touch notes and the meaningful lyrics. The lyrics speak to you with what its really meant to be in love. The music video describes what love is these days. We see the emotions of love and greatness. Even tho love can do good and bad. Its not contributed to any harsh feelings that we call "Cheating". The way Smith brings this topic through the song is well done. The music video tells a story about a couple being married. Then the husband goes to the bar and gets drunk and has sexual desire with women. When the woman knows that but, doesn't, want to bring it up since he has money. Today, our society only cares for the money which is very sad. I hope one day our world will be so much better. Overall I would think I'm Not The Only One will be on my Pholl's playlist. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH

Black Widow? Come Again?

Iggy Azalea has dazzled USA with her first song "Fancy" that hit huge with me and USA as well. But, "Black Widow" isn't so great. Iggy can rap good but, can Iggy have a song just with herself? Two hits in a row. Fancy and now Black Widow. I really need to see Azalea have a song that its huge just by herself. Rita Ora? Who's she? For a second I thought she was Rihanna. I like the lyrics a little bit. But, black widow what does that mean again? The beat is very up beat and I love it. The beat changes which is fantastic! Now for the music video. I don't really know if the music video fits in with the song. The first two minutes of the music video is very confusing and I wasn't engaged. Which was a major loss. The music video was trying to tell a story but, it failed in the beginning. Then after the music starts the music video started making sense. How Iggy is a secret ninja and her sidekick is Rita Ora. The clan is called Black Widow. I should be able to recognize the title of the song means. I couldn't figure it out until the music video came out. They go on multiple missions in the music video. For example, how the both need to kill a man in a certain amount of time. Overall Black Widow hits points but, can improve. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Alexa S for being a great friend.

I'm Stronger Than I've Been Before

Ariana Grande makes a huge comeback with her new album "My Everything" that is expected to be released on August 25. The album includes "Break Free" and "Problem". She also now has a single with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J called "Bang Bang". With "Break Free" the song features Zedd which is very hard to connect to because, you can't even hear is part in the song due to how Ariana's voice is to high and covers up Zedds part. The song starts with a strong push that involves Zedds music that cues Grande to come in and start the song off well. Break Free has a great sense of vibe with Zedds spectacular up beat with it. I enjoy Break Free a lot. The lyrics are cleaver with Grande's high notes. She has something that can't be explained. The lyrics are not repetitive which is great. Now for the music video. The music video ties in greatly with the song. The music video has a star wars theme to it. I don't understand the first 20 seconds of the music video but, it I forgot about it when Ariana starting singing. The music video tells a story which is rare these days for artist to portray story lines into their music videos. I wasn't lost and I followed through greatly with the story. She escapes and rescues her friends then Ariana gets kidnapped by the enemy. Then she escapes and gets rescue by Zedd and go off to space. Overall Break Free rockets into space and scores big. For all things music reviews keep it on Paul's Summer Blog. PH Shoutout to Lauren B, Addi T, and CeCe C
